ICON LABOUR
Privacy notice
Last updated: 20 September 2026
Who is responsible for your information?
Icon Labour is a trading name of Icon Civils Ltd, company number 14763903, registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 48 Bush Hill Road, London, Greater London, N21 2DT. Icon Civils Ltd is responsible for deciding how personal information collected through this service is used. Contact Omar Mohamed at contact@iconlabour.co.uk or call 07930 110003 about this notice or your information.
What we collect
- Operative registrations: your name, email, phone number, trade, experience, working areas, transport, availability, qualifications and any work preferences or other details you submit.
- Optional documents: the cards, tickets and qualification documents you choose to upload.
- Contractor accounts: your email, account authentication information, name, company, phone number and access-request status.
- Enquiries: the information you send by email, phone or WhatsApp, including your labour requirements.
- Technical information used by our hosting and account providers to deliver and protect the service, such as connection information and service logs.
Please upload only relevant qualification documents. Do not upload passports, bank details, National Insurance numbers or medical records through the registration form. Avoid placing contact details in your experience description because that text can form part of a contractor-facing profile.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
With your consent, we use operative registration details and optional documents to review your registration, discuss work, verify supplied CSCS and CPCS cards, and prepare an anonymous profile for approved contractors. You can withdraw this consent by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew.
We use contractor account and enquiry information to take steps at your request towards providing our introduction service and to provide an agreed service. We also have a legitimate interest in protecting accounts, preventing misuse and restricting access to candidate information. Where we must retain information to meet a legal obligation, that obligation is the basis for doing so.
Who can see it?
Icon Labour administrators can review candidate registrations and uploaded documents. Approved contractors can view only profiles that Icon Labour has reviewed and published: trade, experience, working regions, transport, availability, qualifications and the experience description. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and uploaded documents are excluded from that browsing view. We discuss an introduction with you before sharing contact details for a specific opportunity.
Our service providers include Supabase for account authentication, registration records and document storage; Resend for account emails; and our website hosting and domain providers, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Our Outlook email service handles correspondence. These services receive the information needed to provide their functions. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Storage and international processing
Registration information and qualification uploads are stored using Supabase. Documents are stored in a private bucket with access restricted to Icon Labour administrators. Account access uses authentication and approval controls. Service providers may process technical information or service data outside the UK. Where international-transfer rules apply, appropriate safeguards are required. Contact us for details of the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your information.
How long we keep information
We review inactive operative registrations after 12 months and remove details and documents that are no longer needed. This is a review process, not an automatic expiry date. We consider your last contact, whether you still want work, and whether the information is needed for an ongoing introduction or to resolve a query.
Contractor account and enquiry information is kept while needed to manage the account, respond to enquiries and administer introductions. Some correspondence or transaction records may need to be retained for legal or accounting obligations or to deal with disputes. You can ask us about the retention of your particular record.
Browser storage and other services
The contractor login stores authentication session information in your browser so you can stay signed in. Signing out ends your active session. The site does not currently include advertising pixels or an analytics package added by Icon Labour. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives connection information when your browser requests them.
The contractor enquiry form prepares an email in your email app; it does not send your enquiry automatically. Clicking WhatsApp opens WhatsApp, where its own privacy terms apply. Do not send sensitive documents through these links unless we have agreed an appropriate way to receive them.
Your choices and rights
You can contact us to request access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction or, where applicable, a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where we rely on it. These rights depend on the circumstances. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
We do not use this website to make solely automated decisions about your suitability for work. Contractor approval and candidate publication are reviewed by Icon Labour.
If you have a concern, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
